Working with others to increase impact. This is a vital aspect to our work to help us understand the issues of concern across the children’s sector.

CiNI facilitates a broad range of networks and alliances which bring together like minded organisations to discuss policy & practice issues. This partnership working enriches and helps contribute to the sharing of good practice and to allow our key message to reach a broader audience.

Child Poverty Alliance

The Child Poverty Alliance (CPA) is currently chaired by CiNI. The CPA came into being in 2008 as a loose alliance of organisations to raise awareness of child poverty and to campaign to end child poverty within Northern Ireland.

Children with Disabilities Strategic Alliance

CiNI co-chairs the Children with Disabilities Strategic Alliance (CDSA) alongside Disability Action. CDSA wants to ensure that policy impacting on the lives of children and young people with disabilities is informed by their needs and circumstances.

Early Years Strategic Alliance

CiNI together with the women’s sector jointly chair the Early Years Strategic Alliance (EYSA). EYSA brings together organisations from the child care and women’s sector and seeks to inform & influence early years, child care & family support policy.

CiNI Policy Sub-Group

Our Policy Sub-Group provides a channel for members to share their knowledge and experience to develop positions on key policy areas and to develop agreed policy positions on key issues.

CiNI Looked After Children Sub-Group

The Looked After Sub-Group aims to help guide policy across Northern Ireland to promote the health and wellbeing of children who are from a looked after background.

Children & Young People’s Strategic Partnership

The Children and Young People’s Strategic Partnership (CYPSP) is the first and only partnership which brings together the leaders of agencies across the whole of NI to focus on every aspect of the lives of all our children and young people.
