This workshop will facilitate participants in the development of an evidence base which supports their working practice. It will help them to bridge the gap between acquiring knowledge, putting that knowledge into practice and reflecting upon an evidence base. The working aims to assist participants to understand evidence based practice, learn some associated skills and apply these skills to their work.
The workshop will also:
- Introduce Evidence Based Practice
- Assist participants to access research
- Learn how to appraise research
- Understand statistics
- Encourage user involvement
- Implement a model of evidence based practice
- Explore issues to evaluation
- Participants will be enabled to make links with academic institutions
