CiNI responds to Department of Health consultation on Recommendations of the Independent Review of Children’s Social Care
Children in Northern Ireland (CiNI) has responded to the Department of Health’s public consultation on the Recommendations of the Independent Review of Children’s Social Care Services in Northern Ireland. In our key asks, we have called on government to:
- Prioritise Early Intervention and Prevention;
- Invest in what works; and
- Value everyone’s contribution.
Our response highlights the need for a cultural shift and radical re-set, which properly values and resources the work of Community and Voluntary Sector organisations delivering early help and family support, with statutory and non-statutory partners working effectively together, and services operating in tandem to deliver better outcomes for children and young people.
