Please note: this is an In-Person training event (NOT virtual).

This training explores the many benefits of promoting time outdoors for children. These benefits extend to mental health and wellbeing, sleep, immunity, risk management and effective hormone release.

Despite these benefits children are currently spending less time outside than ever before. We will explore these benefits in relation to Trauma Informed Practice.

Important Information:

  • Our funding restrictions are such that this training is only available to those who work/volunteer for a voluntary, charitable, faith or community-based organisation. Please ensure you meet this criteria before applying.
  • CiNI is located in the 40 Montgomery Rd business park. Please enter the stairwell by Podium for Sport and go to the 1st floor. We have free parking. Metro 6 (Cregagh Rd – Bells Bridge stop after the large roundabout).
  • Lunch will not be provided. You can bring your own lunch or order from Cafe EJ (below CiNI)
  • Due to the high demand for this training we can only offer a maximum of 2 places per organisation. Please do not apply for more than 2 places.
  • Registration is at 9.50am for a 10am course start.
