Trauma & the Helping Professional – Exploring Compassion Fatigue, Burnout and Vicarious Trauma for those in Caring and Supportive roles.
Trainer: Fiona Anderson
Live virtual training delivered via Zoom.
This half day online workshop offers caring professionals an opportunity to assess and address the impact of their work on their emotional wellbeing. This introduction is an overview of compassion fatigue, burnout, and vicarious trauma and offers opportunities to explore strategies to minimise the risk of personal impact when supporting those who experience trauma. Through discussion and reflection, participants can understand how and why caregivers and helpers are affected by exposure to another’s suffering. The training also discusses methods for enhancing trauma responsiveness at both the service and organisational levels.
Cost: This course is charged at £65 per person for non-members OR £50 for members of CiNI.
