Understanding Autism: Celebrating Differences, Embracing Strengths

For too long, Autism has been misunderstood.

The narrative around Autism to date has primarily focused on disorders, deficits, and challenging behaviours. Many children grow up burdened by these labels, facing stigma and the persistent feeling that something is “wrong” and needs to be “fixed.”

This course takes a fresh perspective, celebrating Autism as part of a positive Autistic identity. Alongside fostering understanding and acceptance, it will equip you with essential knowledge and practical strategies to better support Autistic individuals in everyday life.

By shifting the narrative, we aim to foster a world of acceptance where differences are embraced, allowing children to thrive, develop a positive sense of self, and look forward to a hopeful future.
