Health Minister Robin Swann launches Parenting Week with Parentline NI
Monday 17th October 2022 marked the beginning of Parenting Week, a key week in the calendar of Parentline NI; Northern Ireland’s regional helpline for parents and carers, funded by Health and Social Care NI.
This week, Parentline NI have one main aim – to reach out and remind parents, carers and family members we are here and #inyourcorner. Whatever you are facing as a parent today, Parentline are here to listen, support and guide you. It’s free, confidential, and we have no waiting lists.
This Parenting Week we launched a brand new animation, which shares the message of our services at Parentline NI.
We were delighted to have Health Minister Robin Swann visit our offices and officially launch the animation for us.
After viewing the animation and chatting to the team, Minister Swann said, “As Health Minister I’m proud to support Parenting Week. Parents and carers deserve to be celebrated because they do a fantastic job, many in difficult circumstances.”
Throughout Parenting Week, Parentline will be sharing our resources to our partners and contacts, including all schools and Family Support Hubs in Northern Ireland.
Minister Swann commented “Parenting Week is a great opportunity to spread awareness of the support services such as Parentline NI, that are available for parents. It’s really important that parents know about the help that is available, and they reach out when things are tough.”
Parentline NI are open Monday – Thursday 9am – 9pm, Fridays 9am – 5pm and Saturdays 9am – 1pm. Call 0808 8020 400, we are #inyourcorner.
