This full-day workshop provides a supportive environment to explore counselling theories and develop practical skills for everyday interactions. Designed for individuals who are not professional counsellors but work in roles requiring strong interpersonal connections, this course offers a practical introduction to counselling approaches and techniques that can be applied in real-world settings.
You’ll gain valuable insights into key counselling frameworks, including Psychodynamic Counselling, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Person-Centred Counselling. Through interactive learning and realistic scenarios, you’ll develop core skills such as active listening, empathy, and effective questioning.

Bryan McGarvey is a qualified Counsellor, registered with the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy, with over 30 years of experience supporting young people and adults with complex needs. Bryan brings a wealth of expertise as a Counsellor, Team Leader, Tutor, and Trainer. His established private practice specializes in Psychodynamic Counselling, Humanistic approaches, and CBT, offering discreet and professional support to clients.
