Managing Safeguarding Disclosures & Maintaining Wellbeing:

This dynamic and in-depth training course is designed for those working in roles where they may receive disclosures or respond to safeguarding concerns. Relevant across multiple contexts, the course takes a deeper look at key safeguarding themes, equipping participants to respond well to disclosures, understand the often fragmented nature of disclosures, manage concerns with clarity, and creating environments that are not only safe, but brave too.

Through real-life scenarios and guided reflection, participants will explore the differences between concerns, disclosures, and allegations, and develop core skills in active listening and safe, appropriate response. The course also examines complex dynamics such as gaslighting and bypassing, and their impact on individuals who may be experiencing harm

Alongside response skills, the course places a strong emphasis on practitioner wellbeing. Participants will explore the importance of maintaining healthy boundaries in supportive and pastoral roles, recognising the need for clarity and consistency in professional relationships. The realities of vicarious trauma are addressed in a practical and accessible way, supporting participants to recognise signs and symptoms, understand their impact, and take proactive steps to protect and sustain their own wellbeing.

Grounded in trauma-informed practice and supported by reflective learning, this course highlights the role of supervision, debriefing, and organisational culture in enabling practitioners to respond well while remaining well. It is offered in multiple contexts to ensure content is relevant, practical, and tailored to your specific setting.
