Understanding Autism

Live virtual training delivered via Zoom.

This course will provide an introduction to Autism. It is designed for those who would like to understand more about how to support and communicate effectively with autistic people within their role.

It will explore the key characteristics of Autism including social communication, social interaction, repetitive behaviours and sensory differences.

By the end of the course, recipients should have a developed a foundational understanding of what Autism is and feel confident in implementing some helpful approaches and strategies.

Cost: This course is charged at £65 per person for non-members OR £50 for members of CiNI.

About the Trainer:

Laura is a qualified Play Therapist, currently working in a charity supporting children with Autism and additional needs. Previous to this she had various roles including;  a Primary School Teacher, Autism Intervention Officer delivering Autism interventions to families in the community, and a trainer in Autism for families, professionals and organisations.
